Steps To Haring A Monkey Run

NOTE: Any deviation from established policies and procedures need to be communicated to and approved by mismanagement at least two months prior to your run.

Run Budget

When planning your run budget please remember the following:

• Monkey policy is 2 hares are free. A 3rd hare is free when we reach 30 signups. The maximum limit is 3 free hares, regardless of the number of signups.
• An automatic subsidy of up to 2,000B is available. An additional subsidy may be requested, but the request must be made before your run date and approved by mismanagement. There is also the proviso that by accepting the subsidy no signup fee money is spent at the On On venue.
• Consider obtaining sponsorship for shirts and/or other run mementos.
• If you decide to allow additional shirt orders, you as the hares are responsible for collecting payment for the additional shirts. Please do not include the cost of additional shirts in the final run accounts. The expense and collection of money for additional shirts sold are entirely the hares responsibilty.

Hash Transport

• Ordering of hash transport will be handled by mismanagement.
• IMPORTANT: If the venue you select is not located in central Pattaya you MUST notify mismanagement so we can work out a schedule to transport chimps back to the Buffalo Bar from the venue.
• Hares are responsible for the navigation of baht buses and beer truck to start, water stops and venue.
• If distance traveled from Pattaya is greater than 45 minutes travel time, or if baht buses return to Pattaya after 9pm, discuss with mismanagement as we may have to pay a higher fee to drivers.
• FYI, to free up room on the beer truck, seating for four on one of the baht buses will be reserved for hauling of chairs, additional ice, and other run day supplies.

Run Day

• Once we load up at the Bufalo Bar, one of the hares should plan on riding in the beer truck and the other hares up front in the baht buses to help the drivers navigate to the start point.
  Note: The brewmaster does not need to know, nor want to know location details. Once he is at the Bufalo Roo Bar he wants to enjoy the mystery of where we're going along with the rest of the hashers.
• If you need it, copies of the signup list will be provided on run day which you can use to check people in on the run.
• Hares are responsible for helping the baht bus and beer truck drivers navigate to the A-site, water stop(s), C-site and venue. Please remember the Monkey tradition is for the hares to keep secret the run area and on on venue. With this in mind no maps are needed, or should be provided to any chimps helping organize the logistics for your run. Those that may be called upon to help would like to enjoy the run day, same as the rest of the chimps.
• If more than one water stop is planned, hares must let the brewmaster know so additional softies can be stocked for the run.
• After the run starts, hares are responsible for:
  - Loading the water esky with softies.
  - Adding additional ice to the beer eskys. Five bags of cube ice should remain unopened for use in the bucket. If an esky with the label Warm Beer (used for pre-chilling beer) is present, two bags of cubed ice in that esky should also remain unopened.
  - Reassembling beer boxes that were collapsed to save space on the beer truck.
• Hares will need to discuss with the GM the schedule for the run day. Unless otherwised approved by mismanagement, the circle must end no later than 15 minutes before sunset to allow time for loading up the trucks before dark.
• It is strongly recommended that a more substantial feed be provided at the circle site and only finger food at the venue. Chimps are hungry after the run and less so at the venue due to the quantity of beer consumed.
